Professor Guo Yanxing has studied the PingLe Guo School of Orthopedic Medicine under her grandmother, Gao Yunfeng, since childhood. She has comprehensively inherited the academic principles and clinical experience of both her grandmother, Gao Yunfeng, and her father, Guo Weihua, thereby mastering the essence of the PingLe Guo School’s orthopedic techniques. Over more than four decades of clinical practice, she has employed the distinctive diagnostic and therapeutic methods of the PingLe Guo School to relieve patients’ pain and suffering.
Through inductive summarization and in light of contemporary lifestyle patterns and shifts in the disease spectrum, Guo Yanxing has expanded the academic principles (seven principles) and clinical diagnostic and therapeutic approaches (six methods) of Pingle Orthopedic Manipulation—building upon its original “Three Principles” and “Four Methods”—and has thereby established the “Pingle Orthopedic Balance Theory” system.
