Guo Canruo, the fifth-generation inheritor of the PingLe Guo School of Orthopedics
Guo Jingxing, courtesy name Canruo (1895–1950), was the son of Guo Pingsan. From an early age, he accompanied his father in medical practice; through his father’s oral instruction and hands-on teaching, he quickly developed the qualities of a renowned physician and distinguished himself as exceptional. Building upon the techniques of his predecessors, he systematically formulated the orthopedic manipulation methods of “rocking and tapping, circling and kneading, and rotating and lifting.”
