A single piece of chalk, dust clinging to two sleeves, a three-foot lectern—through the four seasons, they sow and nurture. Teachers across the land wield the brush of their youthful brilliance to forge for us the key that unlocks our dreams, and with tender, nurturing care, they pave the broad road to a boundless future.

However, due to years of standing while lecturing and working at a desk, coupled with a lack of time to monitor subtle, chronic changes in their bodies, cervical and lumbar spine problems have long been among the most common orthopedic conditions affecting teachers.

As a guardian of bone health, Luoyang Orthopedic Hospital of Henan Province (Henan Provincial Orthopedic Hospital) has both the responsibility and the obligation to safeguard teachers’ bone health and safety, and to take concrete actions to urge the teaching community to prioritize bone health—preventing disease before it occurs and providing effective treatment once it has developed.

Therefore, on the occasion of the annual Teachers’ Day, the national intangible cultural heritage “Pingle Guo’s Orthopedic Manipulation Technique” has joined forces with the Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Committee of the Luoyang Municipal People’s Congress and the Luoyang Municipal Education Bureau to host a special Teachers’ Day event titled “Focusing on Bone Health, Honoring Teachers.” During this event, health tribute cards will be distributed to teachers across Luoyang, providing them with comprehensive support for their bone health. Eligible teachers can present these cards to receive free medical consultations at the Henan Provincial Orthopedic Hospital in Luoyang (Henan Provincial Orthopedic Hospital).

Whether for prevention or treatment, we hope that more educators will get involved, raise awareness about bone health, and actively incorporate bone-nourishing practices into their daily routines—so that, with healthy bones and bodies, they can embark on the noble journey of educating and nurturing future generations.

Wishing all teachers a happy holiday!
