A city of youth, a city of dreams—men’s aspirations lie in defending our homeland and safeguarding our nation. Generation after generation of soldiers have upheld the spirit of the military, forming the backbone of our nation and ensuring that we may enjoy peace and tranquility in these cherished days.

In tribute to this group of the most admirable heroes, on the morning of August 3, the Heluo National Medicine Culture Research Institute of Luoyang City organized a volunteer service event at a PLA Armed Police unit stationed in Luoyang, bringing together orthopedic specialists and nurses from the Guo Jiayi Volunteer Service Team of the national-level intangible cultural heritage “PingLe Guo’s Orthopedic Manipulation Technique.”

The weather is sweltering, yet nothing can match the burning passion of these soldiers. When the Guo Jiayi Volunteer Service Team arrived, the troops were braving the scorching sun on the training field, pushing themselves to the limit in rigorous drills—sweat pouring down like rain, but unable to extinguish their unwavering loyalty and dedication.

Once everything was in place, the well-trained soldiers lined up in small groups in an orderly manner for medical consultations. Based on the specific issues affecting different parts of their bodies, the doctors provided tailored care recommendations and solutions, while the nurses busily took their blood pressure, applied medicated patches, and performed ear acupressure with seeds.

The event lasted nearly three hours, and the Guo Jiayi Volunteer Service Team expressed great satisfaction in participating, as it allowed them to bring health care to military personnel—such initiatives are truly meaningful.

“May youth endure forever, and health accompany you always”—you safeguard our homeland and defend our nation; we, in turn, safeguard your health and well-being. You are the backbone of our country, and we are here to protect that very backbone.

Amid the dazzling neon lights of the bustling city, we never forget our roots. The intangible cultural heritage of Pingle Guo’s Bone-Setting Technique pays tribute to the guardians of countless homes—our most beloved heroes!
